Pursuit

At Sigma SciTech Solutions, we have developed a solution for tracking lost handsets. The solution is completely web-enabled, can be linked online with existing CRM or web site or intranet. Currently, at most an operator can bar a handset at the switch, which drastically reduces the chances of recovering it back for the subscriber. However, using Pursuit, we can put lost handset on trace and thus maximize the chances of getting it back for the customer.

Features

Whenever a customer calls in to report a lost handset, the call-center operator can immediately see all details pertaining to that subscriber's handset history (since when the customer is using this handset) and handset details like make, model, frequency and features supported (MMS, Camera, GPRS and more).

Once this handset is put on alert, then all its misuse in the operator's network is alerted via SMS or online details are available to a designated coordinator. Information, like the called party, time, cell-id, location details is captured.

It raises alerts even when subscribers of other operators (competitor) in the same network are found to use lost handset. It also raises alerts when in-roamers are found to use lost handset, in your network.

This information maximizes chances of getting handset back for the subscriber.

Supported Switches

Our solution easily integrates with commonly used switches across the industry like: Siemens and Lucent switches. Switches manufactured by other companies can be easily integrated with minimal configuration level changes and 2 weeks of integration.

Benchmark

The system is currently running for GSM 0.7 million subscribers across 3 circles and are likely to grow to 1 million by March 2004. In addition, it is supporting 0.5 million in-roamers.
